I have been a marriage and family therapist working in private practice or at pastoral counseling centers for over 30 years. I am currently licensed in Virginia. Using the telephone I maintain a schedule of clients with whom I work privately on personal, relationship or spiritual growth issues. As a seasoned clinician, I help people resolve such issues as: self esteem, anger, anxiety, intimacy, divorce recovery, marriage strengthening, communication, addictions recovery, business issues, retirement, loss, life transitions issues, and spiritual centering, among others.
When long term psychotherapy or medications are indicated and/ or insurance reimbursements mandated, please seek clinical treatment in your local community. No third party reimbursement will be offered through this service.
If you are in crisis, seek local help immediately. If you are feeling suicidal, please call a local crisis line right now.
HOW IT WORKS: Click on 'make an appointment.' Select a date and time useful to you. If the date and time are available, you will be guided to an online intake form. Please fill it out and click 'submit.' You will then be guided to a secure payment center. Once your payment is accepted, you will be sent an email note confirming the date and time of your appointment. You will also be sent a toll free telephone number to call along with a password for the scheduled appointment. The fee for each 50 minute session is $65. The fee for each 25 minute session is $35. Some people prefer to set up several sessions and payments at one time. You may do so if you wish. If you want to send me pictures of you and/or your partner or other family members, please do so. When you fill out the online intake form please give me as much up front information as you can. It will help us more easily begin our work together.
I hold to a high ethical code of conduct when working with clients in any setting. Confidentiality is paramount no matter what the venue and any notes are kept in a secure area. No personal data will be available online for public access.
WAITING LIST: If there are no openings during the week you wish to begin counseling, send me an email with your name, address, phone number, and most important - your email address. I will contact you by email as soon as possible prior to an opening.
RELEASE FORM: Please note that your intake form will not be complete until you have checked the box on the release form on page two. Once your intake form is complete we will confirm your session. Then, and only then, will your name be added to my calendar.
